I was not able to get anywhere near as much video in Barcelona... in fact I hardly got any... so here's what I got:
So what have I been doing all week?
Sunday (7/26):
The inagural Wembley Cup!
The Wembley Cup is a brand new exhibition football (soccer) tournement that lasts 2 days. 4 of the best teams are pitted against eachother for the ultimate bragging right possible: a big trophy.
I saw the amazing European champions, FC Barcelona, crush the African champions (hailing from Egypt), Al-Ahly, as well as Celtic defeat Tottenham Hotspurs, becoming the overall winners of the cup. It was a fantastic day of football.
Tuesday:
The Cambridge Shakespeare Festival Presents: Much Ado About Nothing. A wonderful presentation of the play, and and incredibly fun night. There was a little girl sitting in front of me, who I thought would not get the play at all, but she seemed to understand all the language and every joke, and it seemed like she really enjoyed it. I'm glad the youth is exposed to Shakespeare :)

Wednesday:
Cambridge again! And, as always, I have music! This time, I used my video camera, so the quality should be better. Normally, I don't listen to folk, but this band was just too good! I can't remember their name because the paper that said it is washed out in the video, but they were great!
Thursday:
I saw Brüno.
Brüno isht über famous. Brüno isht über funny.
Saturday:
We Will Rock You! Now celebrating it's 7th year on the West End! I had a great time, mostly because I love the music of Queen. The story may be crap, but it is overall a really fun show, especially if you like Queen.
EDIT:
I do want to clarify that, although I said that I was being lazy, it was really that I did not get a chance to take the video I wanted to take in Barcelona. Hopefully, I can change that in the coming weeks.
Ok,
ReplyDeleteThe lazy period is over. You get one more chance to capture the flavor of your trip, and the flavor of Europe. You need to shoot an hours worth of film to get 1 minutes worth of good footage. Pick up the camera and shoot boy, shoot. Get it right and there could be a career in it for you.
Laziness is not accepted in any industry.
Oh yeah, and read your book.
Love ya,
Dad
I really can bust them....can't I?
That's my boy. I know you will be able to change that. You can do anything you put your mind to. I know that because I have seen you do it. I have faith in you.
ReplyDeleteYour biggest fan,
Your Dad
Jordan,
ReplyDeletefirst- the video was... well... the music made it humourous
second- only men brag about trophies (including trophy wives)
third- the little girl at the Shakespeare festival who surprised you? That was me eight years ago... didn't it occur to you there were others out there like me? Plus, she's a girl she had a way better shot at paying attention than you did (remember Richard III)
Fourth- I could have told you not to see Bruno... it looked dumb- The Hangover on the other hand was HYSTERCAL
well... thats all I have to say for now... I bought a copy of Serentiy on DVD for 3 dollars today so thats exciting! other than that we're just preparing for Peru here... lots of trips to REI for rape whistles... again just a precaution... hopefully...
